South East Glasgow Childcare ForumsThe South East Childcare Forum is a constituted network of social economy, private and local authority children and family service providers, as well as representatives from relevant local and statutory agencies.

The aim of the South East Childcare Forum is to meet identified local need by working in partnership  with parents/carers, children and family service providers and relevant local and statutory agencies to support and develop provision within the South East of Glasgow. 

The forum values the commitment of its membership and strives to prioritise member’s issues.

The objectives are:

  • To gather, use and publicise accessible information on the supply and demand for children within the area
  • To ensure the local community are informed and consulted in relation to the development of services for children and families
  • To promote partnership working between the local authority, private and social economy sectors
  • To support the sustainability of services
  • To support children and family service providers to ensure high quality
  • To support the development of integrated and specialist services for children with additional support needs
  • To support local planning and service development
  • To inform Citywide Strategic Planning
